A windy $10 lesson đȘ
We went to the Bondi Kite Festival on Sunday. The sky was full of colourâkites everywhere.
We bought a $10 kite and gave it a go.
It was harder than it looked. The kite swung side to side, crashed down, and refused to stay up.
We tried again. And again.
Finally, it caught the wind.
Once it reached a certain height, the breeze did the work. The kids just held onto the string, and up it wentâsteady and effortless.
Watching it fly high in the sky, I thought:
Money works like this too.
Startingâorganising your finances, saving, investing and setting up a systemâcan feel awkward and frustrating.
But once you build momentum and structure, the wind does most of the work.
Put in the effort to get your kiteâyour moneyâoff the ground. After that, maintaining it can feel almost effortless.
Have you had a âkite momentâ in life or financesâwhere the hard part was just getting started?
