From Bedtime Stories to Audiobook Narration – Utley’s Journey

Abby Utley’s journey into audiobook narration started with something as simple as reading bedtime stories to her child. With a background in public speaking, Abby was already comfortable in front of an audience. But it was the time spent crafting character voices for her daughter that sparked a deep passion for narration. “I really got into doing the character voices…it was so much fun to come up with a different voice for each person,” Abby recalls. This not only rekindled her love for reading but led to a revelation: “When I read a book, I hear your voice narrating in my head,” her family would say. This is when Abby realized that narration could be more than just a hobby—it was something she could do professionally.
