About the Course Creator

I’m a double board-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant and the author of Finding Hidden Mold, with over 30 years of hands-on experience helping homeowners and professionals identify and resolve mold issues—especially the ones hidden deep inside HVAC systems.

For decades, I’ve worked alongside HVAC contractors, health practitioners, and environmental inspectors to get to the root of persistent indoor air quality complaints. From supply plenum to return duct, I’ve seen how overlooked mold inside mechanical systems can quietly drive client complaints—from fatigue and brain fog to odor and allergy flare-ups.

This course was built to bridge the gap between HVAC service and environmental health.

When I’m not teaching, I’m in the field—on ladders, in crawlspaces, and inside air handlers—finding what others miss. I designed this certification to help skilled HVAC pros like you confidently spot and communicate mold risks, avoid liability, and open new doors in the fast-growing IAQ industry.

If your clients are asking about mold, odors, or air quality, this training gives you the edge. You’ll walk away knowing:

Where mold hides in HVAC systems (and how to prove it). Which tools and inspection methods are worth using

How to talk to customers about what you find—without overstepping your role When to recommend professional testing or remediation And how to turn these skills into new service offerings and trust with clients Because the future of HVAC is about more than just airflow—it’s about health.
