Is there a way to get Zing Performance Programs on the NHS or similar publicly funded health care system?

It is unclear which health care systems will fund Zing Performance Programmes, however, your insurance may be able to cover them.

Experience neuroscience-backed support for ADHD, anxiety, and cognitive issues, with little to no cost to you.

Accepted insurance plans include:

* Medicare Part B (Traditional Medicare)

* Unity Preferred Network (In-Network)

* MCCP PPO Network (In-Network)

* Out-of-Network PPO Coverage (Eligible plans may reimbursed up to 80%)

Can I ask Access to Work to pay for a Zing Performance Program?

You can definitely ask them. If you would like us to help you with that, contact us.

How can I get an ADHD/Autism assessment?

You need to fill out and print a questionnaire and letter template from either Psychiatry UK or ADHD 365 and take them to your doctor to ask for an assessment. The NHS website has some useful information but the wait times might be different to Psychiatry UK or ADHD 365. It's always a good idea to ask.

How can I contact UK Orthoptic Departments who provide Visual Processing Difficulty services?

Below are Orthoptic Departments who provide Visual Processing Difficulty services in the UK.

These clinics may also be called orthoptic learning difficulties clinics, reading difficulty clinics, visual stress clinics or other.

Please ask when ringing the department what the referral process and criteria is.

Where can I purchase coloured overlays?

Crossbow Education sell them but you can buy them from other places on the internet.

Why are you called TheEDGE.community?

Excellent question!

EDGE is an acronym for the things we at The EDGE are deeply passionate about:

Excellence 🌟

Divergence 🧠

Growth 🌱

Empowerment⚡️

E stands for excellence - we have high standards and constantly strive for excellence in everything we do. This includes our commitment to signposting alternative services outside TheEDGE.global to our clients and potential clients so they can make informed decisions about the services they access.

D stands for divergence - it is our nature to diverge from the norm when solving problems, which is what happens when neurodivergent people are empowered to ensure their environment supports their thinking style. We love to explore new ideas and solve problems in unusual ways, especially when helping to empower others. This is our joy. Our solution-focused, holistic approach to study, coaching and wellbeing helps our clients in many different ways.

G stands for growth. Our services help create environments that allow people to grow in a variety of ways. We help people create strategies that fit their current circumstances. The awareness that this brings equips people to develop ways to continue to independently develop growth strategies in what ever area they choose. Our own growth is highly important to us and our Continued Professional Development (CPD) is updated regularly. You can see what we have been up to below. Our wellbeing is also highly important to use - we regularly swap skills to help ensure we are at our personal best when working with clients and students.

E stands for empowerment. We help empower people with self-awareness so they are able to self-advocate for the things that help ensure they are as productive and possible and minimise absence from work. We are all highly passionate about empowering others as we have personally experienced the difference awareness, self-developed strategies and compatible environments can make to our creativity, well-being, productivity and happiness.

Finally, .community represents our fabulous community! We love that the word unity is in community, as unity is very important to us. We are a group of divergent thinkers and therefore have similar experiences of life. We have all discovered different ways to discover and embrace our awesomeness, and we experience deep joy sharing them.

What are TheEDGE.community's core values?

Innovation and Fresh Ideas

We are committed to being at the forefront of new ideas and embracing creativity. Our community thrives on the excitement of thinking differently and exploring fresh perspectives.

Unique Advantage

We celebrate the unique strengths and perspectives of each individual. Our community values the special edge that diversity brings, helping us stay ahead and innovate continuously.

Exploration and Growth

We believe in exploring new areas and pushing boundaries. Our community is a space for discovering new possibilities and encouraging personal and collective growth.

Adventure and Discovery

We nurture a sense of excitement and adventure. Our community is perfect for those who love exploring new ways of thinking and doing, fostering a spirit of discovery.

Precision and Detail

We focus on detail and excellence. Our community values clarity and precision, ensuring that everyone feels understood and supported.

Personal Growth

We understand the excitement of being on the brink of a big achievement, change, or breakthrough. Our community supports personal growth and self-discovery, encouraging each person to find their own unique path to happiness and self-development.

Can I get coaching, training or tutoring for free?

Possibly! It is definitely worth looking into Access to Work - it is surprising how many things make people eligible, for example a physical health such as back issues. Also, neurodivergent traits such as ADHD count - a formal diagnosis is not necessary.

* See below for student frequently asked questions... 🎓

Access to Work is a UK Government scheme to help people to reach their potential in the workplace. People can choose their own coach/trainer or have the one Access to Work suggests.

'Access to Work could give you a grant to help pay for things such as:

* specialist equipment and assistive software

* support workers, like a BSL interpreter, a job coach or a travel buddy

* costs of travelling to work, if you cannot use public transport

* adaptations to your vehicle so you can get to work

* physical changes to your workplace

Your workplace can include your home if you work from there some or all of the time.

If you get an Access to Work grant, it will not affect any other benefits you get and you will not have to pay it back.

You or your employer may need to pay some costs up front and claim them back later.'

This is the website if you would like more details about the eligibility criteria and how to apply:

Website: https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work.

If you would like to speak to us about the possibility of Access to Work paying for your coaching, please contact us.

I am self-employed, can I still apply for the grant?

Yes, absolutely.

How can I change my provider to TheEDGE.community?

You will simply need to send an invoice or receipt from TheEDGE.community if you would like us to provide your coaching or technology training. The Department of Work and Pensions don't mind who your provider is, as long as the invoice matches the amount they agreed.

Can TheEDGE.community price match quotes from Access to Work?

Yes. Please contact us to ask us for a Pro Forma invoice.

What if I decide a service isn't a good fit for me after the free trial?

We know this will happen sometimes, as everyone is unique. That's exactly why we provide free trials with zero pressure to purchase sessions with us.

You might resonate with one specialist more than another, so feel free to meet with other professionals before you decide. Equally, you might benefit from trying another service or looking elsewhere. We will provide signposting to other services outside TheEDGE.global if we feel you would benefit from further exploration.

What if the coach/trainer thinks their service isn't a good fit for me at this moment in time?

If we think the service you try isn't a good fit for your circumstances, we will let you know and suggest that you consider looking at other services. It can take some time to find something that is the right fit because everyone is so different.

As you provide services globally, do you speak different languages?

Our services are provided mainly by English speakers, however, ADHD Coaching is provided by Sarah, who speaks Spanish, French and English. Distant Reiki is provided by Ana, who Speak Spanish and English.

What payment options do you offer?

We offer the following payment options:

Card

Apple Pay

Klarna

Clearpay

Revolut Pay

Amazon Pay

Is it possible to pay in instalments?

Yes! All the Zing Performance programmes are available in 3 instalments.

Brain Boost Zing Performance Program is also available in 12 monthly and 52 weekly payments - those two payment plans have been created so people can save up over a year (similar to how some people save for a package holiday). The programs can be started any time after 9 months of payments.

If you would like anything else payable with weekly or monthly payments, contact us.

Could you recommend some useful resources for divergent thinkers?

Money is tight at the moment - are there other ways to access the services advertised?

We are passionate about providing accessible services, regardless of people's current financial situation.

Bursaries

We have a number of bursaries each month, this means you might not need to pay us. Please get in touch to ask us about it.

Skill Swap

If you would like to apply for our skill swap service, please contact us. We have a fabulous community of professionals who love to share their expertise in exchange for other services.

How can I work with TheEDGE.community?

TheEDGE.community was created to allow professionals with the same views, passion and values to create a strong community that empowers others to reconnect with their power. Together, we create a space where people can achieve what they always knew they could, plus more.

We all work on a freelance basis. This allows us to offer the first session free to clients to help them discover which service (and which coach/trainer/tutor) is the right fit them at this moment in time.

If you are interested in joining our community of professionals, please contact us and let us know what you would like to contribute. Everything offered on our website is tested by our community before being available as a service.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is the client's responsibility to notify TheEDGE.global if they are unable to attend a session.

*If the client cancels a remote session with less than 24 hour's notice, the session will be charged for.

*If the client cancels an in-person session with less than 48 hour's notice, the session will be charged for.

On the day of the session:

The coach/trainer will wait for the client to arrive for a maximum of 15 minutes. If the client has not arrived by this point, the session will be classed as cancelled by the client, and will be charged for.

What font is used on this website and how can I get it?

Font used: Atkinson Hyperlegible(R). Copyright 2020, Braille Institute of America, Inc. Licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.

Download for free here: https://www.brailleinstitute.org/freefont/

I have an idea for your website - how can I share it with you?

We are always looking to improve our service, especially if it involves making our services more accessible. If you have any ideas, please contact us!

Can I get an ADHD or Autism assessment at university?

Your university might be able to help with an ADHD assessment, although it is unlikely to be a full assessment. For a full assessment, you need to fill out and print a questionnaire and letter template from either Psychiatry UK or ADHD 365 and take them to your doctor to ask for an assessment. The NHS website has some useful information but the wait times might be different to Psychiatry UK or ADHD 365. It's always a good idea to ask. Autism assessments need to be organised by your doctor, we recommend giving them the completed questionnaire from Psychiatry UK.

NB: These are suggested sources of support, not specific recommendations or endorsements.

Information correct as of November 24.

Does the DSA pay for coloured overlay and similar products?

It's definitely worth asking them!

Crossbow Education sell them but you can buy them from other places on the internet.

What is DSA and how can I apply?

Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) is for students in the UK. Students can choose their own tutor or have the one the DSA suggests.

'Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) is support to cover the study-related costs you have because of a mental health problem, long-term illness or any other disability.

This can be on its own or in addition to any student finance you get.

The type of support and how much you get depends on your individual needs - not your household income.'

Website: https://www.gov.uk/disabled-students-allowance-dsa

If you would like to speak to us about the possibility of Access to Work paying for your coaching, please contact us.

Can I get a tutor for free?

Possibly! It is definitely worth looking into Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) - it is surprising how many people are eligible but don't realise it. So many people don't know they are neurodivergent because they are used to working so much harder than everyone else. University is very different to school, so it might be useful to find out.

If you would like to speak to us about the possibility of DSA paying for a specialist tutor, training and other items that will remove any challenges you may be facing, contact your university or contact us.

Can TheEDGE.community price-match quotes on my DSA2 form?

Yes, please contact us.

How do I ask for a different tutor? (Also known as a change of DSA Provider.)

You can simply send your Needs Assessment Centre (Study Tech or Capita) the below email. You can also contact us if you prefer..

Study Tech's email address: [email protected]

Capita's email address: [email protected]

To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to make The EDGE Community my Non-Medical Help provider for Specialist One to One Study Skills.

Item: Specialist One to One Study Skills (SS-SPLD)

Supplier: The EDGE Community

Contact Details: [email protected] 07518 559012

Cost: £50 per hour

Yours faithfully,

* If you would like TheEDGE.community to provide support due to previous experience of support from us, then as long as you understand this will be remote support, it is easy to do.

* If you are waiting for a Needs Assessment (from Study.Tech or Capita), you can ask your Needs Assessor to include TheEDGE.community as one of their two quotes, and to note your preference in their assessment due to your history of support with us.

What if I decide my tutor isn't a good fit for me after the free trial?

We know this will happen sometimes, as everyone is unique. That's exactly why we provide free trials with zero pressure to request sessions with us.

You might resonate with one specialist more than another, so feel free to meet with other professionals before you decide. Equally, you might benefit from trying another service or looking elsewhere. We will provide signposting to other services outside TheEDGE.community, if we feel you would benefit from further exploration.

What payment options do you offer?

We offer the following payment options:

Card

Apple Pay

Klarna

Clearpay

Revolut Pay

Amazon Pay

If the DSA is paying for your tutor, we will invoice Student Finance England directly. You will just need to sign the time sheet each session.

The program can be started any time after 9 months of payments.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is the student's responsibility to notify TheEDGE.global if they are unable to attend a session.

*If the student cancels a remote session with less than 24 hour's notice, the session will be charged for.

*If the student cancels an in-person session with less than 48 hour's notice, the session will be charged for.

On the day of the session:

The tutor will wait for the student to arrive for a maximum of 15 minutes. If the student has not arrived by this point, the session will be classed as cancelled by the student, and will be charged for, as stipulated by Student Finance England.

I have an idea for your website - how can I share it with you?

We are always looking to improve our service, especially if it involves making our services more accessible. If you have any ideas, please contact us!
