If we were sitting together over a cup of tea, I’d tell you this story the way I tell my friends — not perfectly polished, but from the heart. Because Little Sparrows of Hope was never just “a book project”
to me. It’s a piece of my life, stitched together with moments
of joy, heartbreak, resilience, and the quiet beauty of
finding your way forward.
When I started writing, I wasn’t thinking about chapter titles or
page counts. I was thinking about the people who might one
day hold these pages in their hands — people who feel like
they’ve lost their footing, who need something gentle to lean
on. I know that feeling, and I know how much it matters
when someone reaches out to steady you.
This book grew out of lived moments — some heavy, some light — and the artwork became as much a part of the message as the words. I wanted each piece to be more than something pretty to look at; I wanted it to carry meaning, to hold space for you
in the same way a friend would.
On this blog, I’ll be sharing more of that journey:
The inspiration behind my art and designs
Gentle reflections on grief, growth, and hope .....
A little sparkle and magic along the way (because we
need that too). If any part of what I create gives you a moment
of comfort, a small smile, or the courage to take your next step —
then this has been worth every word, every brushstroke,
every late night. So, welcome. I’m glad you’re here. Let’s
walk together, one small step at a time. Remember:
“You are not alone in this.
“Strength can come in waves, just like the tide.”
With warmth,
Joanne
